In the last episode of Kumkum Bhagya, Pragya (Sriti Jha) manages to escape from Neel's (Neel Motwani) den and manages to hide away from the goons. Neel finds out about Pragya's escape and frantically begins searching for Pragya. Neel tricks Pragya by calling her from Abhi's (Shabbir Alhuwalia) phone pretending to be Abhi and finds out the location where Pragya has been hiding.
On the other hand, Abhi too is searching for Pragya, who is hiding behind a stack of baskets. Abhi comes there but is unable to see Pragya. The moment Neel sees Abhi near the stack of baskets, he gets the shock of his life and with his heart in his mouth hopes Abhi and Pragya do not find each other. Abhi, unfortunately is unable to see Pragya and continues to search for her but Neel who knows Pragya's location comes to Pragya hiding spot to catch her. Pragya at the nick of time sees Neel coming towards her and runs away. As Pragya flees, Neel's goons too spot her and chase after her.
Meanwhile, at home Pragya and Abhi's family continue to pray for her safety. They are inconsolable. Abhi is about to call Pragya but then decides otherwise; just in case Pragya's phone is not on silent, the kidnappers would be able to trace her. Abhi smartly decides to call Pragya by her nickname 'Fuggy' since no one knows about it. The moment Pragya hears her nickname, she comes out of her hiding place and is about to run towards Abhi and at that very moment, one of the kidnappers finds Pragya and nabs her.
Abhi somehow feels that Pragya is around and continues to look for her but he gets distracted with the commotion in the area and the kidnappers once again succeed in kidnapping Pragya. Meanwhile Purab (Arjit Taneja) and Bulbul (Mrunal Thakur) along with the Police and Suresh too reach the area and start searching for Pragya. Since Neel had instructed the kidnappers to kill Pragya previously, the kidnappers hire an assassin to finish her off. Just when the assassin is about to shoot Pragya, Neel comes there and stops him. Neel refuses to explain the kidnappers why he refused to kill Pragya and asks them to take Pragya to another location.
